Lets get the important stuff written LOL. As you all know by now I follow Numerology as an exact science. If we look at the NON man made areas of life, we find that all adjust to seasons. We are no exception. We too have seasons to start, grow, create, foundate, manage, rest, enjoy the harvest and lastly clear the clutter of what we no longer want or need. I have been in the season of 'clear the clutter' that I believe I have mentioned every month in the newsletters. I have paid attention to this and cleared all that no longer needs to be in my life. Now I move to the start of the Nine Year Seasons. My One Year. I begin again. I seed what I would like to have for memories after my next nine years has been experienced. it is my choice as ALL of life is for everyone. Every January I say to you all " go and see what seasons you are in and apply the strengths to it". Please note that you can do anything in life at any time, but if here in Edmonton, we chose to plant tomato seeds outside nothing would grow. it is not the right time, nor the season to do so. In our lives, as in the rest of NON man made areas, do it at the right time and you will succeed. Here is the link to find your season.>Your Personal Year in Numerology Follow and enjoy the bounty. Trust me it works.

I will post in next months newsletter what I have chosen to 'seed' for myself that will allow me to have GREAT memories as I transition through my next series of nine seasons.

Although I do not know yet what I am programming to grow for the next nine years, I do know what I have given up and cleared from the last nine years of growth. Here is a list: The Lottery, [yup, no more money spent on that LOL] some shows that during this year clearly, and I mean clearly, showed me that they were no longer needed. All the stuff in my house that I never used I cleared out. A relationship that I considered keeping alive also went. Lastly, the most unfortunate was the 20 lbs I planned to lose. I did not. So, as it is stated in the seasons, anything that you do NOT leave in the nine year follows you to the next cycle. I will seed this in my journal so that I focus on a new style of vegan/and no oil/sugar. More on my choice of eating next month with my 'seeding' cycle.

Last month I was in Fort Mac as I posted the newsletter to go out. Then Grande Prairie as December started. Both shows will be kept. A bit of a drive from hell coming in from Grande Prairie, but with a bit of a slow down and an extra hour and half on the road I did make it home safely. Then my some what time off started.

The most focused area this December was my cats. Peter was booked on the 3rd for another weight check up, as we really needed to take out the teeth. The poor boy had a truly NASTY infection in the gums as I have talked about before. Almost there she said. He had one more 14 day antibiotic shot and we went home. I also had Venus's urine tested and she was clear of any infections.
A nice reading the following day. Then to Padmandi's with my friend Jackie to start our monthly reviews on vegan restaurants around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Below is my review with a link to her's.

Next I went with my buddy Janice to Gracie's event for the opening of the 47 year gift that Jackie's father had kept all these years!! The place was packed and covered very nicely with journalists who gave a lot of publicity to the gift and book he wrote about it. I liked this little bar up in St Albert. Awesome artwork for sale that the owner has done all by herself.
I do have to say that up until the 16th I had enough reads that I was quite happy. I then finished off my yearly shows with the local one I talked about in my Newsletter last month. Not too bad, I applied again for February's show so i will let you all know next month if my first show is in February or April :)

Following my last show I took Peter back to the vet once again. To my great delight his weight had increased, and we were able to set his dental appointment for the following day. Based on the importance of this, and the pain that he was in I had to use another vet that my vet recommended, as my vet was fully booked right into the new year.
I used the Glenora Cat clinic, and I do have to say I was extremely happy with the service. The bill? $2100 and change. [see below in Cat Costs]
He had the rest of his teeth out, and there were five roots still within his gums that had to be removed. His surgery took close to three hours, but he came through like a trooper. I picked him up late in the day and I have to say he is healing really, really well and is even eating dry food that he seems to be very fond of. A real feat for a cat who has no teeth. Hopefully he now will be OK in every area of his health. His heart murmur has cleared up, his blood pressure is normal but now that all of that is healed it does show he has stage two kidney disease. The same as Venus. Based upon experience in that area, stage two means at least 2-5 years still in cat life.

However, unexpectedly another veterinarian fee cropped up. Looking down at one of the litter boxes, I noticed blood in the urine. I was able to take a sample from China, as logically it had to be her and it was. The vet said she had a infection in her bladder from stress. That kind of made me smile, as for those who know me, or have ever been at my house know my cats are spoiled beyond belief. However I had been away every weekend in December, and China certainly does not like that at all. She was treated with painkillers and antibiotics, and I will know next week, when I take a sample of her urine back to the vet, if it has all cleared up.

I do have to say though, be careful when cats travel with you. China, who is always as good as gold in my van, gave me a near heart attack this time. After her check up, and shot, I put her in the van and went back inside to pay the bill. Came back out and she was not in the van. I was beyond devastated. I truly thought someone had stolen her, and was racking my brain to try to remember if I had forgotten to lock the van. I had only been gone for less than three minutes. I searched high and low outside, under cars, and finally sat in my van and called once again. This time I heard four very, very, very muffled meows and then silence. I called and called, then finally drove home thinking if she was in the van she would come out. Nothing. I sat in my garage in the van calling and calling and calling. Not a sound. I was convinced that the four muffled meows was her being driven away and her screaming for me. I cannot tell you how I felt. However, I decided to drive back to the veterinarians and search. Halfway there I heard a cry. Again, I cannot tell you the relief I felt, knowing that somewhere she was in this van. I turned around and drove back home and into the garage. To make the rest of the story shorter, she now was very vocal and it was clear that she had climbed into the paneling through this tiny hole and was stuck there. I took the van to the dealers right away, and they immediately drilled out all the back paneling and there she was, stuck and flattened up against the paneling just below the roof area. I gave the guy a tip, wished him a Merry Christmas and drove home with relief that only one can feel when you go through the highs and lows of emotions like this, one after the other.

A couple more reads, And then December 23rd arrived. With all the cats and their maladies, I truly was not sure if I was going to be able to go away for Christmas. However everybody was healing well, both veterinarians said they would be fine and my neighbor was coming in to give Peter his twice a day pill and would give me updates. I decided to go to Vancouver as planned.

And uneventful flight there. However my friends who were picking me up at the airport drove to Abbotsford, thinking I was landing there LOL. After the confusion of 'where the heck are you?' I sat back down and waited the hour it took for them to come and get me at the correct airport. I was in Vancouver until the 27th and I do have to say I had an excellent Christmas. We toured the park with all the Christmas lights, 10 of us, mostly my girlfriends family, were over for dinner, with vegan and omni being served. I got to visit Whole Foods, ate a wonderful vegan breakfast at The Lotus Seed and on the last night took her, her husband, and her daughter to a vegan restaurant called Meet in Gas Town. If I ever have to recommend vegan restaurants in Vancouver, those would be the two I would highly recommend. I had Cronuts for desert and I can only say this " Any vegan restaurant here want to serve CRONUTS??????"

Flew back on the 27th with a one hour delay on takeoff. Granddaughter picked me up, and as of now I am celebrating Christmas with my grandson and granddaughter on the 30th, that would be tomorrow. I will cover that in the February newsletter.

As I leave 2018, it is with more than just a year goodbye. It is with a nine year cycle that is now gone. Am I happy with my memories? Most of them, yes. On the 31st, New Years Eve I will re-read my 'seeding' from my Season One. I will make notes on what did grow and what did not. I will thank the Universe for the time and look at what I have learnt and from what I am taking in growth. I will meditate from 11.45 pm on December 31st saying 'goodbye' to the energy and from 12.01 am January 1st 2019 meditate on saying 'hello' to my new cycle. During the 2019 year I will focus on the seeding of what I would like to have as memories later on. YES!!!!
I love the growth that life offers one. Should you choose to elate yourself with the joyful energy each and every day as you wake up, you truly can see that life loves you back. As I have said to each and everyone of my clients over the years when they read with me, 'it will all make perfect sense at the end'. Meanwhile know that if you breathe in joy then the body feels joy. The energy of breathe then gets exhaled into your aura that feels the joy as well. As you extend yourself out to YOUR OWN life you feel the joy return.

LEAVING THIS MESSAGE HERE: My beautiful cat Luke that was taken has still not been found. I still have a $1000 reward out for him. Let’s cover the vet bills first: Above I covered all the reasons why the cats saw vets again this month. Peter's first re-check on the 3rd came to $184.08. This was his blood re-check, collection, in house monitoring and his 14 day antibiotic injection. I had also brought Venus's urine sample for analysis at the cost of $67.10. Peter returned on the 17th for another re-check of the same and this is when I was told he was strong enough to go under for his teeth. This same check up was $171.48.
My story about China is above and her visit that included a injection, pain killers and urine analysis came to $66.70.
Peter's dental work and take home pain killers came to $2193.14. I also had to return two days later, as he was not eating, to get an appetite enhancer and a pill to stop the nausea that came to $43.65. He ate after that and was completely fine all the days later.

Now the food: Dry food came to $123.90. One of these bags were vet recommended for 'stress' for China. She ate a little but not every day. Next kitty litter came to $138.54. Since I have moved three litter boxes upstairs, as Peter needed to be near them at first, I bought two more litter scoopers at $11.53.
Treats came to $30.85. I re-stocked the filters for their fountain at $28.75. I bought some stain odor remover at $12.06 as I always like to have that on hand and I had run out. [I DESPISE a smelly home] Lastly I bought a better smelling shampoo for Peter, as I hate strong perfumed one's. Cost $9.44. Tinned food came to $87.42 and lastly raw food came to $73.10

Total cost for keeping VERY good care of my babies was $3241.74. YUP I kid you not. This year I got TWO expensive months.

If you are thinking of getting a pet please know that from the cute stage, they grow with personality to adult stage. Animals feel with unconditional love from their souls. They get attached and used to their homes. If you cannot give up 12-18 years and maybe longer, do NOT get a pet. It is not a companion till you find a mate, have a child, decide to move to an apartment that will not allow pets, it is a companion for life. They also need dental care, checkups and GOOD food. Not this cheap, no nutrient food that I see so many people buy. Your pets will suffer later just as you would if all you ate was junk.

Look at rescue places for loving animals. These pets will not only be grateful, it's almost like they know you saved them and love and adore you for it. Think before you add to your life. Can you give this type of commitment? If the answer is yes then enjoy looking for your new companion. Think older if you can, for some reason older pets are harder to re-home and they are much sadder as they wait not knowing what it was they did to be removed from their homes.
My Coincidence this Month: I think this was about an Xmas gift I sought out! I wanted to get my girlfriends husband a gift. I waited till I was in Vancouver as I took on board luggage and had to watch the weight. Walking around Granville Island with Louise, my long, long time friend, who I was spending Xmas with I had an epiphany. These mini Buddha boards that you used a paint brush and water to envision what you want to manifest would be a GREAT gift I thought. First we called a metaphysical store and she said 'no, we do not stock them, but the kids store on Granville Island might". Twenty feet away was the store. In we went and I leaned over to the cashier and asked her if she had this item in stock. "No", she said although "I know what you mean". A voice piped up from the doorway as a customer was just about to leave. "It's called a Buddha Board" she said and continued on saying "I have seen them at Indigo's" WOW!! I think. Off we go to Indigo's and get almost door to door parking. In we go. I enter it into the computer and it says 'this store has nine'. In novelty gifts. We search high and low, and although there is a sample of the large board out and very well used, no sign of the mini boards. I am looking on shelves about 12 feet away and return to Louise who is kneeling down on the floor reaching under some paper rolls. "What are you doing?" I ask. She triumphantly looks up and says "I think I have found one" She attacks this white box with glee and pulls it out, and lo and behold it is most likely the last mini Buddha Board in Vancouver! After all it is Xmas Eve now at 3 pm. We cannot believe our luck and then look at the fifty people in line. A gentleman who is walking by us leans in and says quietly 'upstairs there is no line up'. We whip up there and true to his statement there is no line up. We pay and exit gleefully. I hope that Al, who the gift was for, see's the coincidence in a gift that obviously was meant to be. Enjoy it Al and manifest well.

2019 Moon and where is the Moon void of course this month?

Your astrological chart contains twelve houses. In one of these houses sits the Moon. This house will tell you where your emotions lie. It also tells you what sign controls your emotions. My Moon sits in my first house in Pisces. So although many who know me think I am independent and fearless that may be so in my actions, but my inner core of emotions relate to Pisces. The intuitive and creative energy. Thus inside of me I have the passion that many see when I relate to my pets and business. The first house represents 'self' so my inner emotions relate to me. Hence I had a LOT of work to understand myself in earlier days. Today I have, through much inner work, found a ton of peace and tranquility. I had to, though, put in the actual work. Had I not done this life would not be what it is today.

Where does your Moon sit in your chart? From this placement you can understand your inner emotions. Now, the Moon moves VERY quickly, every month it moves through the twelve astrological signs. Hence you may now be able to understand why your moods shift and change all the time. The Moon controls the tides that is water based. We are 90% water and are also prone to the mood swings. Cancer, the astrological sign is ruled bu the Moon. We can all agree that people born under the sign of Cancer are moody. :)

During the void of course Moon we need to understand that it is between signs. Meaning the Moon is in limbo. We are basically detached from reality. When we do not have the energy of a sign to help the emotions it is better to do nothing. Be careful driving. Do not shop as you most likely will return the items. Do NOT sign contracts or you will find issues later. What is the best action to do under a retrograde Moon? Meditate. Reach your subconscious and set goals. Dates for January 2019? VcToria's AWESOME Vegan Kitchen

As I do a monthly column on this I think that taking one question from a reader can be answered. If you have any please hit 'reply' to this e-mail and question away.

Let's take a peek at my kitchen shall we? What is my MOST used appliance? Definitely my Vitamix. This is a blender on steroids. The best investment you could make for your kitchen is one of these. I realize they cost a wee bit of money, but the time you will save with this device will make up for that :) You can order one from their website and make 3 monthly payments. Next I love dehydrating kale chips as the oven does not do the superb job that a dehydrator does. I highly recommend the Excalibur model. I use a food processor on occasion and a juicer for my green juice in the morning. Those are the things I would say make it a heck of a lot easier to function.

Hemp Seed: Lets look at what is in hemp seed. I take about 3-6 teaspoons a day with my green juice in the morning. Remember the first thing that the body takes in after your sleep feeds the brain.Look at the nutrition that the body is now taking in, if you choose to take this first thing in your waking state.

Hemp seeds are rich in healthy fats and essential fatty acids. They are also a great protein source and contain high amounts of vitamin E, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and zinc.

Hemp seeds are a great source of arginine and gamma-linolenic acid, which have been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease.

About 25% of the calories in hemp seeds come from protein. What’s more, they contain all the essential amino acids, making them a complete protein source.
Hemp seeds may reduce symptoms associated with PMS and menopause, thanks to its high levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).

Whole hemp seeds contain high amounts of fiber — both soluble and insoluble — which benefits digestive health.

Lastly you may make hemp milk. Simple take one cup of hemp seeds to four cups of water and blend in a Vitamix. You will not need to strain it if done this way. However, in an ordinary blender you may need to. Use a milk bag or a nylon stocking or a tea strainer. Please buy from a reputable source. I buy mine from the fellow who does the local markets here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

Now for my monthly recipe: I am hard pressed to choose as my food is always VERY yummy. I think I will start with a quick meal that can be served very nicely with quinoa or rice. Quinoa cooks very quickly and has a nicer taste I think. You can buy quinoa in a box or from the bin section. I like the one that is garlic seasoned.

Vegan Chickpea/Sweet Potato Curry

1/2 red onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon dried/ground ginger
1-14 ounce can diced tomatoes
1-14 ounce can of chick peas. I make my own that I will cover next month.
1 and half cups of oat milk. You can also use almond or hemp but I like the oat.
2 tablespoons of maple syrup [VIP]
1 teaspoon salt [i use Himalayan]
1/2 teaspoon pepper.

Boil two peeled and cubed sweet potatoes while you make the above recipe.

Preheat pan on medium heat. Now add the onions and garlic and a 1/4 cup water. Cook until the onions are soft maybe five minutes or less. Add the spices all together to the onion and garlic. Stir. Add a little water if it sticks. Add tomatoes, chickpeas and oat milk. Stir well. Let simmer for two minutes. Reduce to a lower heat. Add maple syrup, salt and pepper and the sweet potatoes. Simmer for a few minutes. Serve with the quinoa or by itself. If you care to omit the sweet potatoes you may, and just serve it over the rice or quinoa. I love the added potatoes though.

One of the longest vegan restaurants to exist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Although it bills itself as vegetarian, it is all vegan. Opening in 2002 on 97th street in China Town the restaurant was so successful that it moved to a much bigger and more open aired location in 2009. Still located here at 10740-101 Street, Edmonton, Alberta Canada, it attracts many vegans, vegetarian and omni's alike for its amazing foods.

It has a gluten free menu that you just have to request as it is a separate menu all by itself. Jackie my 'reviewing all vegan restaurants partner' is gluten free and requested this menu. I am not gluten free and ordered off the regular menu.

I would like to get the negative out of the way, so I can focus on the positive. We went at opening time for an early dinner. Arriving at 4 pm we were greeted warmly and seated at the table I love to be seated at. I had not seen Jackie for awhile and was looking forward to great conversation when suddenly there was a great scream from the kitchen. Lo and behold there was a baby there, who unable to talk uses a VERY loud voice that carries all around the restaurant. This went on for a long time till the Mother decided it was time to leave. Now, some people may not notice young children and the effect it has on the energy of the head. However, when I go out for a meal and good company I do not expect to have a screaming young child that belongs to the family who owns the restaurant spoiling my quiet time. A nice tip here: Go after 7 pm as the child will be gone. If the piercing sound of a young child does not bother you, then by all means go at opening time. There, I got the negative out of the way and now onto the positive.

I ordered the hot and sour soup that I can only say is perfect for a cold, winter night. The portions are huge so be prepared to take half home for another wonderful meal the next day. Hot, hot and spicy was my description of this soup in my notes. Next, I had the beef satay with peanut sauce, that funnily enough is not written on the menu but comes anyway. After a chat with the owner it appears that if you order any satay they make chicken satay. Who knew? LOL. I have been ordering that for four years. The peanut sauce that I dip the cubes of satay in is to die for. HIGHLY recommend this dish and along side that I ordered the Nasi Goreng which is basically a vegetable fried rice. I ask that the corn be taken out as it is that tinned stuff I hate.
For desert we split an apple/raspberry cheese cake. Soft and pliable and tasty. I think that the chocolate cake is better but I did not order that this time.

All of the food here is wonderful. You will not find any onions nor garlic in any of the foods simple because the family who own this wonderful place are Buddhist. A beautiful spiritual belief that I happen to follow as well. Although I use onions and garlic in my home cooking. The Buddhist belief is every soul has a right to live hence animals, nor any part of the animal as in dairy are not consumed.

Some information that I had no clue about LOL. Ask for a 'points card'. Each $1 you spent equals one point. Once reaching 200 points that equals $10 and you get a gift card with it. That is the maximum that you may redeem.

For the food, service, and atmosphere and the beautiful Buddha that sits in the restaurant I give a 5 out of 5. I have to lower that to a 4 though based upon the child.
